'The Lord of the rings'
Days before his graduation, Bloom participated in the Peter Jackson adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. The first film of the trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring, 2001, was a great blockbuster and critics. Bloom continued to act in the two followings of the Ring; plays Legolas Greenleaf, an immortal elf with long hair that balances refinement and wisdom with archery and camaraderie throughout the popular movie series.

Franchise 'The Pirates of the Caribbean'
After gaining a prominent role in Black Hawk Down (2001), another important part was on the horizon for Bloom.
