Brolin's mother died in a car accident in 1995 that occurred on her 27th birthday, and the actor then recounted the severity of his pain and some of the difficulties of their relationship. Three years later, his father remarried, this time with the famous singer and actress Barbra Streisand.

Movies and television
'The Goonies'
In high school, Brolin discovered his passion for acting. He made his film debut in The Goonies (1985), a family-oriented adventure film. In addition to Brolin, the cast also featured other promising young artists, including Sean Astin, Corey Feldman and Martha Plimpton.

While his first film was a success, he grossed more than $ 60 million at the box office (and later reached cult status), Brolin's second, the skateboarding action film Thrashin '(1986), left him wondering about your future in the business. "I remember that at the premiere of my second film I started crying, I thought: I'm so bad that I have to stop this and do something else or learn what I'm doing," Brolin told Interview later.

'The young riders'
In 1987 Brolin made his first foray into television series. He co-starred with Michael Woods in the short historical crime drama Private Eye.

Brolin then starred in the western television series The Young Riders, which premiered in 1989. The program, co-directed by Brolin's father, explored the lives of a group of pilots with the Pony Express. He presented young versions of such famous western figures as "Wild Bill" Hickok (played by Brolin) and Buffalo Bill Cody (played by Stephen Baldwin). The show went off the air in 1992.

'Flirting with disaster'
Brolin had a breakthrough in his career in 1996 with his turn as gay police in David O. Russell's comedy Flirting With Disaster. He soon appeared with Mira Sorvino in Guillermo del Toro's science fiction horror film, Mimic (1997) and with Ewan McGregor in the eerie morgue thriller Nightwatch (1998). But despite having worked constantly for years, the success of the box office continued to elude the actor.

In 2003, Brolin starred in his own television series, the political drama Mister Sterling. He played with the son of a former governor of California who was selected to fill a vacancy in the United States Senate. Unfortunately for Brolin, the series was canceled after two months in the air. He then landed a small role in Melinda and Melinda (2004) for Woody Allen, as well as major television roles, as a leading role in the 2005 Book of Murders.

'In the valley of Elah', 'American gangster'
Brolin's profile began to increase in 2007. Working with director Roberto Rodríguez, he had a small role in the "Planet Terror" segment of the horror film Grindhouse (2007). Brolin also appeared in the drama of the Iraq War In the Valley of Elah (2007), starring Tommy Lee Jones as father who investigates the death of his son soldier. His role as a corrupt detective in American Gangster (2007) became another important part for Brolin.

'No country for old men'
Brolin went from being a secondary player to a lead actor, Brolin co-starring with Jones and Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men (2007). I was excited for the opportunity to work with directors Ethan and Joel Coen. In describing the experience of having your share in
