Synopsis
Actress Gal Gadot first drew attention as the winner of Miss Israel in 2004 and went on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. She modeled for a time before embarking on two years of military service. Then, Gadot studied law for a while before looking for acting opportunities. Fast & Furious (2009), the fourth installment of the franchise The Fast and the Furious, was his first film role. He continued landing more parts of movies, including the legendary comic book character Wonder Woman. Gadot played Wonder Woman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016.

Early life
Born on April 30, 1985 in Rosh HaAyin, Israel, actress Gal Gadot has appeared in such popular films as Fast & Furious (2009) and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). His father worked as an engineer and his mother was a teacher. Gadot was an athletic girl, studied dance and practiced several sports in her youth. One of the first ambitions of her career was to be a choreographer, she told Vanity Fair.

When he was 18 years old, Gadot entered the Miss Israel competition. She thought that being in the beauty contest "would be a good experience" but "I never thought I would win," Gadot explained to Glamor magazine. "It surprised me when they crowned me." This victory helped launch his career as a model. He then fulfilled his mandatory two-year commitment to the Israel Defense Forces. After she completed her service, Gadot went to the university to study law.


Prosperous film career
While in college, Gadot was asked to audition to interpret the love interest of super spy James Bond in Quantum of Solace (2008). He had several callbacks, but he did not get the paper. Even so, the experience aroused his interest in acting. As Gadot told Interview magazine: "I realized that it takes a lot to act, and it's much more interesting than going to law school." He soon got a role in an Israeli television series and then part in a movie.

In 2009, Gadot made her film debut as Gisele in Fast & Furious, starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. She returned to play the role in several sequels: Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and Furious 7 (2015). Gadot soon got the role of her life when she was cast as Wonder Woman (and her alter ego Diana Prince) in the big-budget action movie Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Entering the character presented some challenges, as he told Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show. At first, his suit "was so tight, I literally could not breathe." Despite the wardrobe problems, Gadot sees the importance of Wonder Woman as a role model. She explained to Glamor that "it was important for me to show how independent she is, she does not trust a man, and she is not there because of a love story."


After his role in Batman v. Superman, Gadot will again play Wonder Woman in his own film, which will be released in 2017. She will also appear in several upcoming films of the Justice League. In addition to his work as Wonder Woman, Gadot also stars with Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Costner in the action drama Criminal (2016) and the upcoming comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses with Isla Fisher and Jon Hamm.

Gadot is married to businessman Yaron Versano. The couple got married in 2008 and has a daughter named Alma.
