The Nun (2018)

This OBVIO movie missed James Van's touch that we liked in the universe films of The Cowboys. Even when I used to overcome fear, it was successful because the atmosphere was tense and grim. The "Nun" is overly implanted throughout the film to compensate for the fact that the manager could not attract the audience any other way.

The plot is fundamental, at the very least, almost as if they put it together in 5 minutes to make a story for The Nun. The film had a lot of potential to give the audience an exciting and scary story after one of the most prominent villains in the game. Instead, we are saturated with the first and second verb, and finally we have something in the final verb. Until then, nothing more than a city of fear of jumping. So, if this is a horror movies alley, you'll love this. Personally, I think the short time that the Nun was in Conjuring 2 was the best 100,000 times of this long film.

They also tried to go with this new trend to add some comedy to the horror film, which is misplaced and inconvenient. Acting is fine. Taissa Farmiga and Demien Bichir are the main characters and they perform very well.

Anyway, in general, this movie can go directly to DVD or Netflix. I do not think it's worth getting up to the big screen if Wan does not direct it. There are some nice nervous / scary moments but in general it is a very cliché and boring wreath at times. See when you are at home on a rainy day without anything. Do not waste your money as you did

What makes a great horror film? Tenderness and sensitivity create tension and horror without revealing much. Gradual accumulation of terror through the unknown. Make the public know that something is available and does not reveal it immediately. The nun does the exact opposite of all this.

I was invited to the premiere of The Nun yesterday, and although I do not have high expectations, I was still disappointed. I've seen all the shows of Conjuring and Annabelle thanks to my wife's horror movies, but most of the time I enjoyed her more.

Taking into account the success of the first interrogation, I always hope that the following sequel / prefix is based on the first strengths, where tension and horror are slowly and gradually built, culminating in tense and terrifying scenes and a climactic end. Unfortunately with each new release, I discovered that the same narrative and terrifying effects are performed, making the film more predictable and mundane.

Unfortunately, this does take a new comedian. How can such an IP go so badly? A scary creepy nun? Check! Old abandoned castle isolated? Check! Pseudo-religious knowledge to build? Check! Romania? Check! - Producers and directors had all the ingredients to create a great horror film. They ended up making a more adaptive film with a fan base of young / teenagers, relying on false stories, very foolish heroes and endless and unpredictable jump warnings. Do not get me wrong, I like a good jump when used properly, but this movie is almost exclusively based on it.

But the worst part of the film, which I think was wrong, is how it reveals everything a lot and very soon. Do not see the nun in the first five minutes only, but jump up every 10 minutes, and you hear her cries, her victims, and so on. Repeatedly throughout the film. At the time of the third act, you have seen all the fears that are presented and become a comedy. The entire theater was literally laughing during the last chapter.

In general, it's a disappointing film. It does not make sense to tell people not to waste time watching, as the film will benefit from the success of its predecessors and win a lot of money.
