It seems that 2018 has had a good start, right? Two world leaders talk about nuclear buttons on their desk and some political riots that prevail in the cities. And to top it off, the first week offers us a movie like Insidious to divert our attention and think about a story we've been involved in for the past 8 years. Insidious: The Last Key is the fourth film of the franchise after Insidious, Insidious: Chapter 2 and Insidious: Chapter 3. Directed by Adam Robitel, the film ends the long and persistent story and manages to put an end once and for all to the demon hovering home.

Elise Ranier, the demonologist has visions of ghostly realms and these creatures often visit her in dreams. She calls him Beyond, and is called by a man in New Mexico. As soon as he hears about the place, he held the call because he knew it was the same house in which he grew up. No one told him this, but Elise's sixth sense kicked in and reminded her of the old, creaking building where she was tortured. monsters both real and metaphysical. But that's just the tip of the iceberg since the film does not offer much to the public.

Anyone with the most basic knowledge and understanding of horror movies could safely predict not only the next turn, but even the responses of certain characters. To be honest, it's a fairly thin movie, empty of scares and just full of verbal exhibitions and scenes. Some of the flashbacks are convincing, since Ava Kolker (the young Elise) and Hana Hayes (the teenage Elise) remember their past. If you have seen the previous Insidious movies, you can finish them and finish them. Considering that it is the first horror movie of the first week of the year, it is comparatively a step forward. So look at it before the demon's story becomes obsolete!
