Gwen Renee Stefani was born on October 3, 1969 in Fullerton, California, to Dennis, a marketing executive for Yamaha and Patti, an accountant who became a housewife. The second of four children, his brothers were Jill, Todd and his older brother, Eric.
She was exposed to popular music and artists such as Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris for their parents. He also developed a love for musicals such as Sound of Music and Evita.
He attended Loara High School in Anaheim, California, and was dyslexic. He made his stage debut during a talent show at Loara High School to sing "I Have Confidence" by The Sound of Music.

Career
Stefani graduated from high school in 1987, and began attending Fullerton College before moving to California State University, Fullerton. She had started to provide voices for her brother, Eric's band, no doubt.
In 1991, No Doubt signed with Interscope Records. His debut album, the following year was unsuccessful, since grunge was more popular than his ska-pop.
In 1995, the self-published album of the band, The Beacon Street Collection, was successful, while their third album, Tragic Kingdom, had the single "Do not Talk", which exceeded the end of the year lists.
